The Terme di Peio is located within the protected area of the Stelvio Natural Park, in a healthy Alpine valley at 1400 metres altitude, dominated by the peaks of the Ortles-Cevedale ranges, rich in alpine lakes, streams and waterfalls.
The thermal waters of Peio have been known and appreciated since 1600. From the mountains and glaciers flow three precious sources of mineral waters used for therapeutic purposes. For each of them there is a different balance of salts, ions and natural gases on which their beneficial health benefits depend:
Fonte Alpina (the Alpine Source): ultra-light and low in minerals, drunk regularly, facilitates the dissolution of waste, in particular uric acids and “washes” the urinary tract, eliminating kidney stones or gallstones.
Antica Fonte (the Ancient Source): medium-mineral, carbonic and ferruginous, as a drink, helps to buffer gastric acids and regulate intestinal movement and during bathing has an intensive anti-inflammatory action on joints and skin.
Nuova Fonte (New Source): mineral, calcium-magnesium bicarbonate, ferruginous and naturally effervescent stimulates blood and lymph circulation and the microcirculation and is effective for the respiratory tracts for preventing catarrh and as a decongestant.
Treatments with the spa waters of Terme di Peio cure joint problems, blood and lymph circulation problems, skin, respiratory tract and gastro-enteric apparatus and urinary tract disorders naturally and without any side effects.
The solarium, fitness area, swimming pool area and massage area complete the range of services provided.
